This section highlights projects I completed during elementary and middle school. These hands-on experiences mark the beginning of my engineering journey—where curiosity, creativity, and a love for building first took root.
As an elementary school kid, I enjoyed playing with Nerf Blasters and often modified them.
I would take apart the blasters and modify the internal parts. I modified mechanical and electrical blasters making them shoot darts faster with upgraded springs and electronics. When I was finished, I would spray painting them with custom colors.
In middle school I had access to a 3D printer and wanted to make a Star Wars Helmet.
I modeled the helmet from scratch in a browser CAD program called TinkerCAD. This was my first time using any modeling software, and I intricately learned the basics of CAD. I then sliced the Model, 3D printed the parts, glued it together, filled in cracks with epoxy, sanded, primed, and painted the helmet. I then cut and fitted a black visor to go inside.
I am happy with how the helmet turned out and to this day it's one of my favorite personal projects I have made.
The model is available for download on TinkerCAD here, and to this day it has over 190 downloads!
In Middle school, I was in a woodshop class where I learned basic woodworking skills.
